PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

ELIGIBILITY

  • All forms of photography can be entered e.g. the photographs representing the climate crisis can be portraits, landscapes, experimental, creative, documentary, fine art, etc.  

  • Professional and amateur  photographers of all ages are welcome to submit their images

  • Photographers based anywhere in the world are welcome and eligible to submit their images

IMAGE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • All Photographers must submit their work online using the Submission Form

  • Photographer must only submit their own images

  • An URL must be entered as Photographers submission link. The link must be available for us to view without a time limit and for us to be able to download the images, we recommend using either Google Drive or Dropbox.

  • Images should be named with your full name and image number, e.g. Julia_Smith_01.jpeg

  • A minimum of 1 and maximum of 5 images can be submitted. The images can be individual entries or part of a broader series or project

  • Each submitted image can be a maximum of 10MB in size. All images must be submitted as JPEG files 

  • Photographs can be taken using any photographic medium and with any camera or phone model

  • Images may be submitted in portrait, landscape or in square format 

  • Each Photographer will be asked to submit a short statement about themself and their photographic work, in addition to a description of the images(s)/project submitted

  • Once the Photographer has submitted their entry, it cannot be altered. Only submitted entries will be viewed by the judges.

  • The shortlisted Photographers must be available to supply high-res files (sRGB, 300dpi, TIFF, 8 bit, full resolution and minimum 3000px on the longest side) promptly for exhibition and marketing material

  • This competition is free to enter

NOTEWORTHY DATES

  • The deadline for entries is 28th February 2022 – 23:59 (Taiwan Time, GMT+8)

  • The judging will take place shortly after the deadline, and you will be notified early March if your photographs have been selected

  • The exhibition opening will coincide with Earth Day on 22nd April 2020, at Minim Photographic Studio + Gallery in Taipei

USE AND OWNERSHIP OF IMAGES

  • Each Photographer agrees that they own the entire copyright for the image(s) they have submitted

  • The Photographer must receive consent from all relevant subjects in their image(s) submitted for the use of the photographs in the exhibition. If there are minors (persons under 18) photographed, then their parental / guardian’s consent must be obtained.

  • The Photographer agrees that if their image(s) are selected, they can be used for press and publicity purposes for the Climate Crisis Exhibition. Minim Photographic Studio + Gallery reserves the right to display, exhibit, reproduce and publish the submitted image(s) in any media without payment for the purpose of the Climate Crisis competition and exhibition.

  • Minim Photographic Studio + Gallery is not responsible for any loss or damage to submitted work or files

  • If the Photographer’s submission is selected for the Climate Crisis Exhibition, we may make small editorial changes to the text submitted, to ensure continuity of the writing format throughout the exhibition.
